Listen

Why won't you ever listen to me?
I am a partially impaired adult in your view
If you think I am, please let me go then.
I want to be free as well.
Yet I am fully aware that you are my responsibility,
and I am yours.

Was it my fault? No. It wasn't anybody's fault.
But I have to be responsible for it.

I recently read 'A Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck' which enlighten me a little about 'faults and responsibilities' in our life. In life we will find that we have to be responsible for things that aren't our fault. Like a lawyer who is responsible for another's wrong doing, a teacher who is responsible of her 'curious' kids - it's everywhere. Yet we are used to think that if it's our fault, then it's our responsibility. However, what about the other way around? It's not our fault so that means we don't have to be responsible.. right?

Now that's another whole perception that might bring some to suffer. Terrible job market, family situations, an unexpected loss, missing opportunities - we never chose to create those faults, it just happened to be there. These 'responsibilities' we have to bear in this life are what I call karma. What we have done in the past, will be returned by the universe. Nevertheless, I often choose to neglect these responsibilities.
