Loving a Porcupine
So adorable, yet hurtful at the same time.
Like trying to hug a porcupine,
that's how wrong it can be when we express love.
There's an art to love these 'difficult' people in our lives.
They do not talk much,
perhaps they do not want you to worry.
An observant eye and a simple "How are you?" is all they need.
You don't have to hug them,
you just have to let them know you're on their side.
They have a soft spot,
it can be their past, a hobby, or a person
A spot you can only know once they've opened up to you
At the end, remember that when you stay too close to them,
it may hurt you.
But they are worth it.
